Fashionista’s Flea at Touch Boutique {Recap}

Good Morning Loves!! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! This past Saturday on my way to volunteer at a casting call for a fashion show that will take place next month, I stopped by the Fashionista’s Flea at Touch Boutique in Miami, FL. There were about six or seven tables set up with cute items that fashionistas and bloggers hoped to get rid of. I enjoyed perusing through shoes, accessories, never worn make-up, scarves, the list goes on. Let’s take a look at the pictures below!

ASW Reviews: Artistry

Good Morning lovely ASW readers!! We made it to another wonderful Friday. I hope that everyone had a joyous and productive week. Today I would like to talk about a few products that a sweet young lady named Christina over at Artistry sent me to try and share with you all. Are any of you familiar with Artistry? For those who may not heard of the company please allow me to enlighten you. Artistry is a leader in the direct selling skincare market. It’s among the top 5 prestige skincare lines in the world, according to Euromonitor International. Artistry sponsor the Miss America pageant, and all of the contests use the line. Also, Artistry worked at NY Fashion Week this year!

I was given a three step hydrating skin care system, light up lip gloss, a mini travel case, as well a time defiance skin refinishing lotion. So let’s get right into it!

This is my absolute favorite lip gloss. Not only does it light up when you open it but it can actually last up to 5 to 6 hours without having to re-apply another coat! Isn’t that amazing? Most of the time we have to continuously apply lip gloss after 3 hours or less because it doesn’t stick and sit properly like lipstick. The lip gloss that I chose was Glitz. It compliments my skin tone and it gives my lips an extra boost!

This was my first time using a three step hydrating skin care system and so far I have really enjoyed using it. From my experience, the cleanser is quite effective at washing away the dirt and bacteria from the environment, as well as any makeup or residue on my face. The toner is the most important step. It has a micro exfoliator that sloughs off dead skin cells, reduces the size of your pores and locks in moisture which is helpful for my dry skin. The hydrating lotion of course infuses moisture into the skin. In addition to the three step care system, I also used the skin refinishing lotion and this product makes my skin feel very soft and it is also used as an exfoliator and firms the skin and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines by 52%.

I hope you all enjoyed my review and if you interested in purchasing items and finding out more about Artistry, Christina over at Amway would be more than happy to assist you. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a wonderful Veterans Day Weekend!

Fashion Designers Expo’s 2012 Fall Runway Shows + What I Wore

Happy Monday!! It’s a new day and the start of a new work week! How was everyone’s weekend? I had a jam packed weekend of fashion and fun! As you know I attended the Fashion Designer’s Expo this weekend. It started on Thursday and ended on Saturday.

So yesterday I headed to the mall in search of a cute dress to wear to the fashion show. Instead of finding a dress I fell in love with this high slit maxi skirt. The one thing that I absolutely loved about this skirt is that it came with shorts underneath opposed to having a mini skirt underneath that has the tendency to ride up. Ladies who wear the high and low skirts know exactly what I mean. The skirt was a little loose around the waist area so I added a belt to the look. I won this belt last December in a giveaway on Christina of Love Brown Sugar’s blog and I’ve worn it a couple of times. It definitely came in handy!

I threw on my favorite wrap around purse to add color to my look. This purse goes with so many items of mine and I love it!

Forever 21 top (OLD)//A’Gaci animal print high slit skirt (Similar,Similar)//Kelsi Dagger heels//Modalistas belt (Gifted)//Rampage wrap purse//Thierry-Accessories earrings

Posing with the lovely Natalie, LaShannon-Founder of Styling Purpose, and Moi!

I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner of the DVN shop, Debby Nilsson about accessories, blogging, and Google Analytics. She has the cutest accessories so make sure to visit her online shop!

This woman is a three year Breast Cancer survivor!! She looked stunning! There were so many different clothing lines in one fashion show. A few of my favorite’s included: Jama Clothing, PINK Hits the Runway, Christian Segui, and the Student Designers Group! Overall it was a great experience. I loved the way the runway was set up as well as the venue. I will definitely attend next year’s Fashion Designer’s Expo!

Well folks, I hope you enjoyed my recap and thank you so much for stopping by. Have a magnificent Monday!

What I Wore: Makers Shoes Event

Good Morning lovelies!! I hope you all are having a wonderful morning so far. It’s Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend. So last night I attended Day 1 of the Fashion Designer’s Expo in Midtown Miami with my fashionable blogger friends. Opening night consisted of the launch party of the company Makers Shoes. All of the bloggers were able to depart with a free pair of shoes! How cool is that! I will share more about the launch party in a later post. Let’s check out what I wore to the event. Blazer, Belt, & Pants: Forever 21//Top:OLD//Heels: Zara Patent Court Shoe //Bracelet: Arts and Crafts Festival//Necklace: Chico’s//Earrings: IN Pink Earrings (Similar)//Ring: Miami Accessory store//Watch:Marc by Marc Jacobs

There is nothing like having a classic black pump! It goes with all sorts of items. I paired them with my forever 21 cropped trousers and an old screen tee which I still love. To complete my look I threw on my fuchsia blazer to add some color to my outfit. I won a $15 gift certificate over at IN PINK a few weeks back so I picked out a pair of blue and rust gold color dangle earrings which I wear at least twice a week. If you haven’t shopped IN PINK head over now for great accessory finds.

Miami Bloggers! (L to R) Natalie, Ju’lia, Dionne, Deidre, Shea and yours truly!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

AlwayzLadyLike Glam Party with Keyshia Ka’oir {Recap}

Happy Wednesday Loves!! I hope everyone is in high spirits this morning. We are half way through the week and we are blessed to see another wonderful day! This past Sunday I attend the AlwayzLadyLike Glam Party which was hosted by the founder of the mentoring program, Eboney Johnson! Many of you may recognize her from the feature that I did on her a few months ago. Check out the post HERE. The event was such a success and she did a fabulous job. She adores the young ladies that she works with in her program so she decided to surprise them. They were able to get their nails, hair, and make up done and they were each given goodie bags which were filled with feminine and hair care products, make up, and much more! Check out the pictures below.

The owner of Hot Looks Makeup Lounge did a great job with the make up for the young ladies!

I had wonderful time chatting with some of the ladies in the program and I plan to get more involved with AlwayzLadyLike. It is great to spend time with young ladies who are in need of attention and who are looking for role models because that may not be present within their homes.

Miami Spice Luncheon @ City Hall the Restaurant

Good Morning Beautiful People!! I hope everyone’s weekend was great. The highlight of my weekend was co-hosting a Miami Spice Ladies Luncheon with my friend Shilesa of Hey Girlfriend Online. Miami Spice is an event which occurs 2 months out of the year and over 200 restaurants participate to showcase the very best of Miami cuisine! Last year was my first time participating in this fun promotion and I knew that I wanted to do it again. The restaurant that everyone voted for was City Hall the Restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. City Hall is definitely on my top 5 places to eat at in Miami and I can’t wait to go back!

Shilesa and I invited our girlfriends and we wanted to make sure that since not every knew each other that we make it as comfortable as possible for our guests. We provided an ice breaker (which went really well), a game and a raffle ticket which gave our guests two chances to win either a Hey Girlfriend t-shirt or Survival Kit. The winner of the game won two pairs of earrings which I selected. You can never go wrong with a great venue, food, and your girlfriends. Check out the pictures below ↓.

After starting this series last Thursday I decided to continue to post my favorite looks on the same day each week. Let’s take a peek at the my favorite looks of the week.
Doesn’t Ariel of Fashion Devotee look sensational in this cream strapless dress? The dress fits her very well and I absolutely adore the accessories and shoes that finished the look. She purchased this dress from Forever 21 to wear to one of her birthday festivities and this dress was perfect for the occasion. To find out more details on Ariel’s look click here.

Tanya of Major Must Haves is wearing a trendy chic outfit! I love the mixture of yellow, gray and black. She looks fabulous and ready for a fun evening out. The pants are fitting and the shoes are BAD! Make sure to head over to her blog for more information!

Nifesimi of Skinny Hipster is rocking a v cut high low dress from H&M. The color orange compliments her skin and the beaded necklace by Restycle is beautiful. I could definitely picture myself wearing this dress. She looks great! Be sure to visit her blog for more details on this look!

Krystal of The Feisty House wore black floral romper to the Style Colorfully Mixer in New York during Fashion Week! I’m in love with the fit of the romper and how versatile it is. This piece can definitely be worn year around and the purple pumps really make this outfit special. Check out Krystal’s blog for more information on her look!
This look by Kela of KelasKloset is fun and can be worn during the day or night time. The sequin jacket adds a twist to the look and jazzes up the outfit! To find out more about Kela’s look check out her fashionable blog!
