The Great Switch Fashion Show

Happy Sunday my lovelies!!! I hope everyone’s weekend is going GREAT! Last night I attended The Great Switch Fashion Show at Saint Thomas University which was hosted by the lovely Lashannon Petit. Lashannon is the owner of Styling Purpose which is a company that specializes in shopping, styling, make-overs, etc. She started her business 5 months ago and she has already put on her first fashion show! God is good. I really enjoyed myself and I plan to attend future shows and events by Ms.Petit!

Since I knew that I would be attending a fashion show I wanted to look fashionable! A few months back I won a gift certificate to Kristen Kai’s online store called¬†Lily Kai’s Vintage Boutique! I was elated to hear that I won the giveaway because I love the clothes that she sells. Great finds at unbelievable prices! I ended up choosing a silk floral skirt and a gold glam bag. The skirt was a little big so I turned it into a strapless dress!!! When I put the dress on I knew that this would be perfect to the wear to the fashion show.

Skirt worn as a Dress:Lily Kai Boutique//Blazer:Mom’s old blazer//Heels:W Shoes//Belt:Thrifted $1//Earrings.Ring.Clutch:XX21

I ended up pairing the dress with this gold belt with a really cute blue buckle that I purchased at the thrift store for only $1. Gotta love those good old thrift stores!!

The fashion show was awesome! My friend and I arrived a little early so that we would be able to get great seats. The ladies and gentlemen rocked clothing from Avenue, Rebel, Rasool’s, V74 Boutique and Voluptuous You. The majority of these sponsors are local clothing businesses.

If you would like to contact the lovely LaShannon Petit please feel free to email her at¬† You can also contact her/follow her on twitter @Styling Purpose! LaShannon is a sweet, friendly and goal driven woman. She is a prime example that if you put God first with everything that you do…ANYTHING is possible!

Well, lovely readers I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday and thanks for stopping by. Make sure you stop by Lily Kai’s Boutique and check out her chic vintage clothing!!
