Sequin and Three Strap Heels

DSCN2504Good Morning!! It’s me again lol. I briefly just wanted to share with you all what I wore to the Flat Out Of Heels event this past Monday night at Room Service Restaurant Lounge. Within just 5 minutes of arriving, I met a few ladies who are apart of the South Florida Girlfriends Club meet up group and extended an invitation for us to sit with them at a table that they reserved.

Since I knew I would be attending a dinner party I chose a sequin skirt which has been collecting dust in my closet. I have had it for years but I’ve only worn it once prior to Monday. I just recently purchased this red blazer from my FAVORITE store KOHLS and I already know that it will get used quite often especially during this holiday season.

The Bloggers Review at Dress To Kill Boutique {Recap + What I wore}

Good Morning loves!! We have had such a long weekend and now we head back to work! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! This past Friday I attended The Bloggers Review event at the Dress To Kill Boutique. This event was designed to bring bloggers together and view different brands that the store features. Antonia D.L., the owner of DTK was so generous to offer her guests an additional 25% off the majority of the items within the boutique. She also provided fabulous goodie bags filled with items from Cult Nails, Nuvo Condoms, Infinite Jewelry, and Nail Veils. DJ Kaisa was on the one’s and two’s and raffle giveaways were given by Staci Sherri. I had such a great time below are pictures from the event ↓.

Many of you may remember the Fall Wish List that I created and shared a few weeks ago {click here}. Well I found two of the items on my wish list and I wore them to the blogger event. I didn’t plan on going for the whole gray and black mix but I liked the results. I’m hoping that I will get the opportunity to wear more of my fall/winter clothing since its been cold almost everyday. It would be great if it stayed like this all the way up to Christmas.

Sissy sipping and shopping!

Hey Girlfriend at Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out – Miami 2012

Good Morning Lovelies!! We made it to another Friday ::Cheers:: I’m so looking forward to the weekend!! This past Wednesday, I attended the 11th annual Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out Miami Edition at the Moore Building in the Design District of Miami. Many of your may recall me attending last year’s event so this year when I found out that my good good friend Shilesa of Hey Girlfriend Online, signed up to be vendor for Shecky’s, I knew that I would like to help out in any way that I could. Hey Girlfriend is a lifestyle brand which brings together ladies from all over to build new friendships, socialize and just simply have girl time! Wednesday night was the first night that she launched the actual products of her line at an event and she received great responses from shoppers. The products that she sells are shot glasses, compact mirrors, t-shirts with her brand’s logo on the front, travel/make-up cases, purse holders and party kits.

Hey Girlfriend Clique!

I purchased the Hey Girlfriend travel/make-up case! I needed a new case for when I travel and I can’t wait to use it. It has plenty of compartments to store all of your desired necessities and it can fit into your suitcase or purse very easily.

I hope you all have a great day and thanks for reading!

Fashionista’s Flea at Touch Boutique {Recap}

Good Morning Loves!! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend! This past Saturday on my way to volunteer at a casting call for a fashion show that will take place next month, I stopped by the Fashionista’s Flea at Touch Boutique in Miami, FL. There were about six or seven tables set up with cute items that fashionistas and bloggers hoped to get rid of. I enjoyed perusing through shoes, accessories, never worn make-up, scarves, the list goes on. Let’s take a look at the pictures below!

What I Wore: Makers Shoes Event

Good Morning lovelies!! I hope you all are having a wonderful morning so far. It’s Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend. So last night I attended Day 1 of the Fashion Designer’s Expo in Midtown Miami with my fashionable blogger friends. Opening night consisted of the launch party of the company Makers Shoes. All of the bloggers were able to depart with a free pair of shoes! How cool is that! I will share more about the launch party in a later post. Let’s check out what I wore to the event. Blazer, Belt, & Pants: Forever 21//Top:OLD//Heels: Zara Patent Court Shoe //Bracelet: Arts and Crafts Festival//Necklace: Chico’s//Earrings: IN Pink Earrings (Similar)//Ring: Miami Accessory store//Watch:Marc by Marc Jacobs

There is nothing like having a classic black pump! It goes with all sorts of items. I paired them with my forever 21 cropped trousers and an old screen tee which I still love. To complete my look I threw on my fuchsia blazer to add some color to my outfit. I won a $15 gift certificate over at IN PINK a few weeks back so I picked out a pair of blue and rust gold color dangle earrings which I wear at least twice a week. If you haven’t shopped IN PINK head over now for great accessory finds.

Miami Bloggers! (L to R) Natalie, Ju’lia, Dionne, Deidre, Shea and yours truly!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Half The Sky Screening (+ What I wore)

Happy Friday to you all!! I hope all is well. Last night I had the opportunity to attend the screening of Half The Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide at the Little Haiti Cultural Arts Center in Miami Florida. Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn are the author’s of the book, Half The Sky which they have made into a documentary. Kristoff ad WuDunn filmed in ten different countries: Cambodia, Kenya, India, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Liberia and the United States.

After watching Half The Sky I have been inspired to reach out to different organizations in my community and make a difference in a young girls life. Just because the resources and laws are different over in the other nine countries doesn’t mean that women in the United States aren’t being effected by the same challenges.

Not only did Kristoff and DuWunn turn their book into a documentary but they asked six actresses that are prominent in Hollywood to travel overseas and witness what women struggle with each and every day. Since most of the areas in the nine countries are poor they aren’t able to do much with the money that they do make. All of the girls and women who the celebrities met with have been either coerced into commercial sex trafficking, prostitution, or suffered from maternal mortality. It is devastating that they don’t have a say on how their bodies are used and/or are sometimes left with no other choice but to partake in awful activity just to make money to feed their children as well as to send them to school.

I don’t want to share all of the details about this documentary because it is set to air on October 1 & 2 at 9pm on channel WPBT2 so make sure to tune in and I will surely be tweeting about on Twitter {Follow Me at SassyWoman25}.

Dress: Bar III via Macys//Heels: Steve Madden//Purse:Rampage//Belt:Forever 21//Watch:Marc by Marc Jacobs//Necklaces: Betsy Johnson & Forever 21//Earrings:Gifted

The attire for this event was semi-dressy so I opted for this wrap dress by one of my favorite brands Bar III. I refer to it as my Confetti dress! My belt came from Forever 21 and it has been my go-to accessory when I wear black pieces. The dress was filled with beige, orange, purple, and black colors so I chose to wear my ruffled nude heels. They are comfortable to wear and not to high. I completed my look with my purple Rampage purse and gold accessories.

Before the screening took place WPBT2 hosted a reception which included complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvre’s. Also, I was placed in the category of Media Press and I was provided with reserved seating for the screening. I’ve never had my name on a chair before at an event so it was very exciting to see my name in print! My fellow blogger Deidre of Frugal Flirty n Fab was in attendance as well and were seated one row from each other.

It was such a pleasure to hear the lovely Gabrielle Union eloquently speak about her experiences over in Vietnam. I know that she is extremely passionate about this project and by any means possible she hoped to be able to give women the opportunity to change how women issues are handled around the world. Gabrielle and Dwayne Wade have adopted one of the ladies over in Vietnam and are going to make sure that she gets all of the necessary resources and guidance so she can finish school. How amazing is that? Many people feel as though you aren’t making a difference because you are only helping one person but we have to start somewhere.

Overall, the event was great and I being apart of press I was given a folder with valuable information about the film. I plan to tune into WPBT2 on Monday and Tuesday of next week and I hope that you will do the same!

Have a wonderful day and weekend! Thanks for stopping by ✌.

Miami Spice Luncheon @ City Hall the Restaurant

Good Morning Beautiful People!! I hope everyone’s weekend was great. The highlight of my weekend was co-hosting a Miami Spice Ladies Luncheon with my friend Shilesa of Hey Girlfriend Online. Miami Spice is an event which occurs 2 months out of the year and over 200 restaurants participate to showcase the very best of Miami cuisine! Last year was my first time participating in this fun promotion and I knew that I wanted to do it again. The restaurant that everyone voted for was City Hall the Restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. City Hall is definitely on my top 5 places to eat at in Miami and I can’t wait to go back!

Shilesa and I invited our girlfriends and we wanted to make sure that since not every knew each other that we make it as comfortable as possible for our guests. We provided an ice breaker (which went really well), a game and a raffle ticket which gave our guests two chances to win either a Hey Girlfriend t-shirt or Survival Kit. The winner of the game won two pairs of earrings which I selected. You can never go wrong with a great venue, food, and your girlfriends. Check out the pictures below ↓.

For my appetizer I indulged in the seafood and andouille gumbo with rice which was delicious.

For my main course I chose the Pan Crispy Mahi Mahi which came with roasted vegetable Quinoa, wilted spinach and maui onion buerre blanc. Another tasty dish!

My fellow blogger Deidre of Frugal Flirty n Fab selected the Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans, cripsy onions and homemade gravy.

Love these ladies to pieces! (L to R) Moi, Dekishea of The Fabb District, PR woman Donnet, Dionne of The Prissy Shopper and the lovely socialite Iris!

Earth Tones & Friends

Good Morning ASW Readers!! It’s Friday Woot Woot! So last night I stopped by the Ricochet bar in Midtown Miami to see how the Fashion Bloggers Event was going and to socialize a bit with my local blogger friends. Back in March I attended the Spring Edition of FBDIB and I had a blast. Check out the post here!

When I put together my outfit I noticed that I was wearing earth tones which happen to compliment my skin tone quite well.  I wanted to look jazzy but still be casual so I paired this pleated strapless dress with a vest that I have had for over 6 years. It is my absolute favorite and I don’t think that I will ever depart with it. By looking at the pictures, you aren’t able to see the pleats in my dress but boy were they giving me trouble while driving to the event because of my seatbelt. I was so nervous that the seatbelt would put a dent into the dress and change the entire look of it. Thank God it all worked out!

Dress: XXI (Here it is)//Vest & Clutch: Wet Seal (old)//Heels: Diba (old)//Necklace: Chico’s//Earrings: Charlotte Russe//Bracelet: Miami Accessory store

My shoes are super old! I think I purchased these back in my college days at DSW in Tampa! They are pretty comfortable and I love the different colors that the shoe has in it. Not to mention they are pretty comfortable to wear!

Young, Wild, and Free was asked to walk in the Fashion Show! I couldn’t stay the whole time but I know she did an awesome job. Love her outfit!!

Fashion designer, Ayeisha of ASMI stopped by and we chatted a bit. She will be featured on ASW soon ladies so be on the look out for her feature!

*In two weeks we will get  back to our regularly scheduled ASW’s Entrepreneur Spotlight.

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a lovely weekend. Thanks for stopping by ✌.

Flat Out Heels Private Penthouse Party

Good Morning ASW Readers!! It’s Friday…Woot Woot!! I am extra excited because today is the last day of school ::Cheers and Screams:: Ready for the summer time to hang out and get things in order! I hope you all will have an awesome Friday and weekend. So a few weeks ago I was invited to celebrate the latest installment of the Flat Out Heels collection on June 7 at a penthouse in Midtown Miami. I don’t own a pair of the heels but while at the party I was able to see what the shoes looked like as well as the quality of the shoe. They look extra cozy and comfortable and the best part about them is that they roll up in your purse which is great because they won’t take up too much space. Ladies I know we have those days where we like to bring a change of shoes just incase our feet start to hurt us and need a breather. At an affordable price of $19.99  + Tax, the shoes allow you to be stylish and relaxed.

Below are a great amount of pictures that I took at the event. Enjoy!

Party goers!

This young lady is doing her thing. Love the mixture of colors. Very springy and chic! Work it Tanya!

Love the animal print mixed with the blue. She looks great!

These two men were kind of enough to let me take a picture of them. Don’t like they look nice?

Well that’s it folks. I hope that you will visit Dawn’s website and possibly purchase a pair of her shoes. The event was great and I was able to get a little networking in which is always a plus! Happy Friday everyone!

VIP Pass Fashion Show at Villa 221

Dress: Central Park West via Loehmann’s (Similar)/Shoes: ALDO (old)/Clutch:Forever 21 (old)/Earrings:Loehmann’s /Bracelet:Charming Charlie (Similar)

Good Morning lovelies!! Yes you are not dreaming this is an actual post LOL. I have missed blogging soooo much. I was sick for a week and a half which was no fun at all. Special thanks to everyone who texted, emailed, called, tweeted and contacted me through Facebook while I was sick. I truly appreciated it.

I paid a visit to Loehmann’s last week Thursday and I forgot how much I enjoyed shopping at this store. Great brands at affordable prices. My main  purpose was to find a cute dress and possibly a summer bag or accessories. I ended up purchasing the dress that you see above and cute gold earrings below. Evidently I visited Loehmann’s on the right day because all customers were able to take an additional 25% off any item in the store. Great Deal!!

This past Saturday night I attended a Fashion Show at Villa 221 which is located in the downtown area of Miami, Florida. I am not a fan of hanging out on South Beach and going to clubs so attending a fashion show during Memorial Day weekend was more fitting. I am very happy that I wore something that was comfortable and light because the show was held outdoors. The bees, mosquitos, and flies were out strong due to the fact that some of the vendors were selling food. The show had its highs and lows but needless to say it was a nice outing.

Host from Britain…Loved her accent!

Danielle Sydnor ↑↓

Danielle did such a great job modeling in the show. She wore the clothes well and is natural on the runway!

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday and thank you so much for stopping by ✌.
