Day 7 of 30 for 30 – Your dream wedding.
Good Morning lovelies!! Happy Birthday Martin Luther King, Jr.! I’m sure the majority of us have this day off and are ever so grateful. MLK was such a courageous, powerful, goal driven man who has made such an impact in the world that we all live in. The next time I visit Washington D.C. I will make sure I see the MLK monument. I wish it was there when I was in D.C. last March but I am glad that there is finally one of this remarkable man.
So I think that I explained to you all last week that I had a death in my family. Well, the funeral was held this pasty Saturday, in Chatom, Alabama. Claudia Donaldson was such a wonderful woman who lived a full life and impacted so many people around her. There were so many people that attended the funeral. My great aunt was a housekeeper like the women on The Help. She took care of white children and pretty much raised them. She has kept in contact with them and about 10 or 12 of the children that she raised attended the funeral. Isn’t that AMAZING? One of the ladies sends her flowers and perfume each year on her birthday and had already ordered her flowers because she would have turned 104 this Wednesday, January 18! Even though we were all brought together for a sad occasion we all got a chance to catch up and make plans to spend time with one another. We only live once so make sure you live your life to its fullest.
Lastly, this post is directed towards my photo challenge and when I do get married one day I would love to have a classy wedding with all of my friends and family there to experience this special moment with me and my husband. Weddings leave everlasting memories and I want mine to do just that!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by ✌.
